Husband, father of four, harbor pilot, and endurance athlete — Matthew Lynch brings the same grit and steadiness to everything he does.
Matthew and his wife are raising four children in the same community that raised him. Faith, family, and hard work are at the center of the Lynch household — and they're the values he'll carry into public service.
From Friday-night dinners to weekends on the water, the Lynches are all-in on Rockport-Fulton. For Matthew, serving the Navigation District isn't about politics — it's about protecting the place his kids call home.
Matthew is a dedicated endurance runner who has completed the Marine Corps Marathon, the Houston Marathon, and 100-mile ultramarathons — some of the toughest tests of grit and perseverance there are.
It's the same mindset he brings to the helm and will bring to the Navigation District: show up, do the work, and finish what you start — no matter how hard the miles get.
